Specialties: BA Philosophy Statement: I have been thinking about art much longer then I have been taking pictures and creating art. I began studying philosophical aesthetics in collage and started taking pictures shortly there after. I got into photography as an art form because I'm interested in making images and visual media. I have worked as a photographer for my college newspaper; traveled to southeast Asia, Europe, and the Balkans to take photographs; looking for the things that we do not normally take note of, and the most enduring thing about these places has not been the big picture, but the smaller one. I look for the teeny tiny; the things our eye would normally pass over. It becomes my job to frame those objects in such a way so that we can look at them just a little differently. The peace of mind and joy that I get from being in a world as simple and clear as the one that I experience through the lens is as whole and complete an experience as I can imagine.
