The sunlight made the cloud look like it was a giant, snow covered, cloud-shaped rainbow, set aflame by some sort of internal arsonist. Even then, and especially in retrospect, it's easy to see the irony of the idea of fire included in this picture's principal description. The cloud is, and always has been, a water element, and provides at least half of the life-force for the tree. Naturally, the other half IS the sun, and if fire gets to close to the tree the chemical reaction shifts, and photosynthesis no longer occurs within its leaves. Instead it might burn up and create flame for the sky to swallow. Water, however could prevent that. It is the all encompasing necessity. Everything needs Water. Even Photographers.
